SCULPTURE OF YORK, WILLIAM CLARK'S SLAVE  
WHO WAS AN IMPORTANT MEMBER OF THE 
LEWIS & CLARK EXPEDITION CORPS.

This sculpture is placed on the Belvedere, a prominent plaza in downtown Louisville, Kentucky, overlooking the Ohio River.  The dedication was October 14, 2003.
